Bio
Beth Bloom is a freelance writer and food and drink analyst. Her work has appeared in Los Angeles Magazine, UCLA Magazine, C-Ville Weekly, New Times Los Angeles and other publications that can be found in the “portfolio” section of this site.
She finds joy in cultural and travel/regional assignments, but is just as happy diving into research projects about the history of a university or culinary trends in seaweed.
In addition to editorial work (writing, research, editing, fact-checking), she writes sketch comedy. Her work was seen onstage as part of Second City This Week, a news-based sketch show in Hollywood, and will soon be seen online as part of Kill Bosby, an LA-based sketch comedy project.
She’s currently working on a book project about family and travel and the things we learn when the two are combined.
